{"id":19929,"date":"2023-11-23T08:24:16","date_gmt":"2023-11-23T08:24:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/exciting-knuth.178-32-140-152.plesk.page\/?p=19929"},"modified":"2024-02-02T15:08:41","modified_gmt":"2024-02-02T15:08:41","slug":"the-boat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.donbosco.press\/en\/good-night\/the-boat\/","title":{"rendered":"The boat"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>One evening, two tourists who were at a campsite on the shores of a lake decided to cross the lake by boat to go for a &#8220;nightcap&#8221; at the bar on the other shore.<br>They stayed there until late into the night, draining a fair number of bottles.<br>When they came out of the bar they were swaying somewhat, but they managed to take their places in the boat to embark on the return journey.<br>They began to row briskly. Sweating and puffing, they struggled hard for two hours. Finally, one said to the other:<br>\u201cDon&#8217;t you think we should have touched the other shore by now, long ago?\u201d<br>\u201cOf course,\u201d replied the other, \u201cbut perhaps we have not paddled strongly enough.\u201d<br>The two redoubled their efforts and rowed resolutely for another hour.
